Overview:
This position supports the day-to-day operations of the food hall bar area within a Japanese-themed food hall environment featuring multiple restaurant stalls. The Bar Staff member will ensure efficient beverage service, responsible alcohol handling, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer service while adhering to company policies and applicable alcohol service regulations.
Essential Duties:
  • Operate POS registers for beverage transactions including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
  • Prepare and serve beverages in accordance with company recipes, policies, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
  • Verify guest age and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including counters, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Restock bar supplies including glassware, garnishes, mixers, and beverages.
  • Monitor inventory levels of beverages and bar supplies and report shortages to management.
  • Execute opening and closing duties including cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, and reconciling cash drawers.
  • Maintain proper sanitation practices including washing glassware and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Provide prompt and professional service while responding to customer questions or concerns.
  • Support overall food hall operations during peak hours when needed.
  • Follow all food safety, alcohol service, and hygiene procedures consistently.
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned by Department & Store Management.
Non-Essential Duties:
  • Assist with beverage menu improvements or seasonal drink offerings.
  • Participate in food hall lost and found protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized bar workspace and ensure supplies are properly stored.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and report any irregularities to management.
  • Complies and maintains confidentiality of all company policies and procedures.
  • Support other departments or stalls when needed.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
  • 1–2 years of experience in bar service or beverage preparation.
  • Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices.
  • Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Positive team attitude and flexibility to assist across food hall operations.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a bowling center/arcade environment where high levels of noise, dust and activity can be expected. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to bend, stretch, twist, climb and have a high level of mobility/flexibility in small spaces. The employee is required to stand and walk for extensive periods of time without breaks during busy times. In addition, the employee will need to be able to use their hands/fingers to handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms. Lifting and/or moving up to 100lbs with assistance is required.
